We are hiring for a Flex Staff RN to join the St. Luke's Perioperative Medicine Clinic in Twin Falls!

What You Can Expect:

The Perioperative Medicine Clinic specializes in referral-based consultative services for medically complex adult patients prior to surgery, utilizing innovative telehealth technology to increase capacity and patient satisfaction in the Magic Valley region. After reviewing a patient's medical history and doing a physical examination, providers will assess a patient’s surgical risk factors. They will educate the patient about pre-operative care and make optimization recommendations to the referring surgeon.  The RN will be responsible for facilitating a clinic-to-clinic telehealth visit with a physician in Treasure Valley and will be trained to do a brief assessment of the patient and report their findings to the physician.  The Perioperative Medicine Clinic has been providing services in the Treasure Valley for over a decade and has been providing services in Magic Valley in person and via telehealth for the past 3 years.

The RN is responsible for assisting licensed providers with patient care and has working knowledge and skills developed through formal training which includes medication reconciliation, providing required patient education, performing EKGs, and venipuncture, as well as completing a physical examination of the patient during telehealth visits.  The RN works within established policies and procedures.

One 10-hour shift / week

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Nursing Degree
  • Experience: 1 years' experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
