Official Notice of Bylaw Amendment Vote

Dear SNOI Member:

This is your official announcement per Article X, Section 1 that the bylaws of the incorporation of the School Nurse Organization of Idaho shall be voted upon for amendment at the annual member meeting on July 29, 2019. 

Proposed amendments: proposal to return bylaws to those dated April 2016. (See Link)

Motion brought by: SNOI Board of Directors

Purpose of this amendment: 

1. This reverses changes that were made at the 2018 member meeting, which include changes in officer names and length of officer terms

           a. Officer names were not changed consistently throughout the document
           b. Succession of president-elect, president, past-president is restored
           c. Office of Past-President is restored
           d. Term length is restored to one year for president-elect, one year for president, one year for past-president.

      2. Inconsistent changes have the potential to cause problems with our non-profit status.

      3. Bylaw change procedures did not occur requiring an update at the next meeting.

Per Article X, Section 1A., a two-thirds vote of members present at the annual meeting is required to pass this amendment. Discussion and vote will happen during the member meeting on July 29, 2019 in Twin Falls, Idaho. All active members of SNOI are encouraged to vote but must be present to do so.
