SNOI Annual Conference Wrap Up

Posted over 4 years ago by Terri Lindemann

Twin Falls was a big success! Many thanks to the 2019 conference committee, headed by Tamara Strong Area 5 Rep, for their hard work. We had 65 attendees and 40 received credit from NNU. Vendors were generous with their time and donated valuable prizes.

During the conference sessions, attendees learned about e-cigarettes and vaping, heard a first-person account from a meningitis survivor, reviewed Stop the Bleed procedures, and heard excellent presentations from a dermatologist as well as ear, nose, and throat doctor, among others.

During the member meeting, our bylaws were updated and new officers were elected. Members can find the newest edition of the bylaws on the SNOI website under Bylaws & Meeting Minutes. The officer listing can be found under the About Us section. Thank you to the new officers elected for their willingness to serve and to the returning officers for their willingness to stick around!

Do you have new school nurses working in your district? Invite them to join SNOI! The benefits of membership are many and we want all to feel welcome and included in our specialty organization. Join SNOI/NASN now!

SNOI's 2020 Conference will be held in the Nampa/Caldwell area next summer. Watch your email for updates and registration. We can't wait to see you all again!
