School Nurse Organization of Idaho

Announcement of Affiliation with Idaho Center for Nursing

Posted about 4 years ago by Terri Lindemann

On January 30, 2020, the board of directors of the School Nurse Organization of Idaho voted to join the consortium of independent nursing organizations called The Idaho Center for Nursing (ICN). The goal of this affiliation is to “work together to identify, discuss, promote, and impact issues” that affect nurses in many specialties across the state (ICN Memorandum of Understanding). Other affiliated independent nursing organizations include Idaho Alliance of Leaders in Nursing, Idaho Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Nurse Practitioners of Idaho, ANA-Idaho (Idaho Nurses Association), Idaho Nursing Action Coalition and Nurse Leaders of Idaho. There is no cost to this affiliation and it will only enhance our state-wide advocacy efforts to unite our voices with the 30,000+ registered and licensed professional nurses in the state of Idaho in addition to the 17,000+ school nurse members of NASN.

The SNOI board is looking forward to working with other nurse leaders within the state to increase our voice within the profession, within matters of public policy and at the statehouse. More information about ICN can be found on their website: https://nurseleadersidaho.nursingnetwork.com/
