Posted almost 4 years ago by Terri Lindemann
GSK is offering several webinars for school nurses to learn more about meningitis. Two are planned for Tuesday, April 28!
Topics discussed will be:
- Risks related to meningococcal disease and time related symptom onset
- Most common serotypes related to patient age and underlying disease related risks
- A review of the ACIP vaccination recommendations for the most common disease serotypes
- A closer look at the science behind one of the newer Men B vaccines; including dosing and safety information
There are two(2) options below and the Attendee URL links below allows nurses to enter each webinar remotely; and sign into the program as a guest. The site uses Adobe Connect, and can be downloaded if needed prior to the start of the 35-40 minute program. The 2nd program at 4:00 pm MST will have the addition of a ‘patient survivor’ speaking, beyond the Medical Science Liaison, and it has an audio dial in number to complement the webinar URL.
