NURSES Lead the Gallup Poll 2020 as the most TRUSTED profession with highest all time rating!

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- At the end of a year when medical workers have braved exposure to the coronavirus to provide lifesaving care, nurses still remain the undisputed leader, as they have been for nearly two decades, when it comes to being the most trusted profession in America.

Nurses earned a record 89% very high/high score for their honesty and ethics this year, four percentage points greater than their prior high in 2019. Nurses have been the leaders every year since 1999 when the poll began, except 2001 after the 9/11 event when firefighters were recognized.
Medical doctors' rating has improved by 12 points to 77%, exceeding the previous high of 70% in 2011 and 2012.
Pharmacists' honesty and ethics rating is up seven points to 71%, their highest rating since 2012, when 75% rated them this positively.
By comparison, Members of Congress and car salespeople tie for last, with just 8% rating.
