Grant Opportunity: 2024 Rethink your Drink Grant Program- Bottle Filling Station for Schools

I am thrilled to announce the 2024 Delta Dental of Idaho Rethink Your Drink water bottle filling station grant program. I invite you to view the attached grant announcement detailing the opportunity for K-12 schools to apply for an Elkay water bottle filling station. Each recipient school, chosen based on the application and priority criteria, will receive installation of a Delta Dental-branded bottle filling station, water bottles and toothbrush kits for all students and staff, and access to a Rethink Your Drink curriculum. We expect to award 10-15 schools in 2024.

You will first be required to create an account for your school and then an individual user account. Only one account is necessary per school, but multiple users may collaborate under one school’s profile. Please see instructions on login page and coordinate with colleagues on who will create the account for your school/organization and therefore invite others to collaborate on the application.

Applications will close March 1, 2024, at 11:59 pm. Please see the attached document for additional details.

A couple pointers from lessons learned the past couple years.

1. Schools must apply on a per school basis and have their own account. If District staff is applying for the school(s) they must create an account for each school, they will just have the same EIN associated.
2. Discuss this opportunity with your school or District maintenance and procurement team prior to completing the application to ensure that replacement of a fountain is feasible and does not violate any current district programs. Below is information they may request:

• Depending on the existing fountain to be replaced, the replacement unit will be an Elkay EZ bi-level or single level with filter.

• If electrical work is required and your school is selected, the grant will cover it. Elkay reviews submitted photos then provides a cost estimate based on whether installers need to run electric. Elkay then coordinates with the proper installers (plumber, electrician, etc.) who are part of their installer network.
